Stop starting a diet every Monday!

Do you start a diet every Monday and fail by Tuesday? Sometimes you make it to

Wednesday, if your lucky?

I know you have heard this before: it's a lifestyle not a diet, blah, blah, blah...

IT'S TRUE!

I was heavy as a child and the biggest favor my family ever did for me was send me to Weight

Watchers Camp (yes, there is such a thing). It gave me a foundation and knowledge that I otherwise

could have spent a lifetime searching for. I really

have a strong desire to help people become healthier. I know first hand that

it's not easy, it's not always fun, but nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.

So, let's just start slow. There is no magic, no pill, it won't happen

over night. It is about feeling the best you possibly can every day, having

energy, feeling up and ready to take on your day!

Step one for the month of Sept. is not eating fast food. That means no McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger

King etc. No pizza, cheesesteak, take out, oh, and that includes chinese food.

Just make this one change and prove to yourself that you can live without

these types of foods. You can do it! You can still go to restaurants, just

make wise choices, salads, grilled meats, veggies. Make the little changes each

month that you find in these newsletters and I promise you will look and feel

better.

Peace and Love, Jill

Afraid of 50? No Way!

Afraid of 50? No Way!
I am not afraid of turning 50! I will be 47 this year and I can honestly say I have never dreaded my birthday. In fact, I remember turning 40 and how excited I was to reach that milestone. Forty to me meant that I had arrived! Not sure what I thought I had arrived at, but I felt somehow more accomplished or entilted. I didn't have to worry about what anyone thought, I was going to do and say what I wanted and !#$% off if that doesn't suit you. Sorry for the language, but I think when you reach your 40, just say it like it is.

The other reason I have never dreaded my age is because, even though I know I am looking older, I don't think I look old. Now, stay with me here, I don't think that this is an accident and good genes only gets you so far. I am a huge believer in taking care of yourself. Take time to excercise. Take advantage of the wonderful products on the market for miosturizing, toning and firming.

I am planning on embracing every age. I am enjoying the wisdom that comes with age. I will continue to be the best I can be physically and mentally. So, 50, 60, bring it on! You don't scare me!
